He was truly a man who learned how to “cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” Unfortunately, many people are victims of their mind – not only slaves to old carnal nature passed down from Adam and Eve (the “flesh”), but also to the mind of “sin and death.” They know nothing of all of the “mind of Christ.” Few people can boast what Paul did when he proclaimed, “Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.” It is important to remember that the battle of the mind is where the fight occurs – and that is under attack on two fronts: 1) by satan and 2) by our own carnal nature.
